Who this guide is for: Web2Application customers who want to send push notifications from Make.com (formerly Integromat) using ready-made modules — no coding required.

What you can do with Make + Web2Application

  • Get Connected App — confirm which app is linked to your Make connection.
  • Send Broadcast Push — send one push to all app devices.
  • Send Personal Push — send a push to one customer email.
  • Send Push to Emails — send a push to a list of customer emails.

A typical scenario looks like: Get Connected App → Send Broadcast Push / Send Personal Push / Send Push to Emails.

Before you start (checklist)

  1. You have a Web2Application app with push working (Firebase configured, test push from the dashboard works).
  2. Your plan allows the Connector / API (trial with API access, or a package that includes API).
  3. You have a Make.com account (EU or US zone — both work).
  4. For personal push: the customer email must already be linked to a device (Listeners / Members). If the email is not linked, Make can show success but the phone will not receive the push.

Step 1 — Install the Web2Application app in Make

Web2Application provides a Make Custom App. Install it with the invite / install link from Web2Application (support or your onboarding email). This is not the same as searching the public Make App Directory.

  1. Open the install link while you are logged into Make.
  2. Click Install.
  3. Choose your Make organization and confirm.
  4. In a Scenario, click + and search for Web2Application. You should see the modules listed above.

Step 2 — Create a Connection (this is the important part)

The Connection is how Make logs into your Web2Application account and locks the scenario to one app.

  1. Add any Web2Application module (for example Get Connected App).
  2. In the module settings, open the Connection field and click Add / Create a connection.
  3. A browser window opens on Web2Application. Sign in if needed.
  4. Choose the app you want to control (example: your production app).
  5. Click Allow / approve.
  6. Return to Make. The connection name should appear (often with the app name and app number).
  7. Click Save on the module.

Notes:

  • You do not need to type a User ID. The app is selected during Allow.
  • If Make shows a temporary warning like “Connection: Value must not be empty”, open the module, select the connection again, and Save. If needed, delete the module and add it fresh.
  • One connection = one app. To control another app, create another connection and approve that app.

Step 3 — Test with Get Connected App

  1. Add Get Connected App.
  2. Select your Connection.
  3. Save, then click Run once.
  4. Open the module bubble. You should see your app_id and app details.

If this step fails, fix the Connection before sending any push.

Step 4 — Send a Broadcast Push (to everyone)

  1. Add Send Broadcast Push.
  2. Select the same Connection.
  3. Fill Push title and Push message.
  4. Optional: Open URL, Image URL.
  5. Save → Run once.
  6. Check the phone that has your app installed.

Step 5 — Send a Personal Push (one email)

  1. Add Send Personal Push.
  2. Select the Connection.
  3. Enter Customer email exactly as captured in the app (Listeners / members list).
  4. Enter title and message → Save → Run once.

If you do not receive the personal push: open your app dashboard → API / Listeners and confirm that email appears next to a device. Capture the email again from inside the app if needed, then retry.

Step 6 — Send Push to Emails (several users)

  1. Add Send Push to Emails (may appear as “Send Push to users”).
  2. Select the Connection.
  3. Add one or more customer emails.
  4. Enter title and message → Save → Run once.

Recommended scenario layout

  1. Get Connected App (optional but useful for testing)
  2. Send Broadcast Push or Send Personal Push or Send Push to Emails

You can also start from another Make module (Shopify, WooCommerce, Google Sheets, Webhook, schedule) and then add a Web2Application push module.

FAQ

Is this available in the public Make App Directory?

Customers use Web2Application through an install / invite link. Listing in Make’s public directory is a separate approval process and is not required for you to start using the modules.

Do I paste API keys into Make?

No. Use the Connection + Allow screen. Do not put Firebase keys or secret keys into Make scenarios.

Can managers connect an app they can manage?

Yes — approve the app you are allowed to manage on the Allow screen. The connection stays bound to that app.

Broadcast worked but personal did not

Broadcast goes to devices. Personal push needs the email linked to a device token. Fix Listeners / email capture first.
