Publishing your app on the Google Play Store involves several important steps to ensure compliance with Google’s policies and smooth approval. Using Web2Application, you can easily convert your website into a native Android app and follow these steps to publish it.

1. Log in to Google Play Console

Access your Google Play Developer Console at https://play.google.com/console and select your app from the dashboard.

2. Complete App Details

  • App Content: Accurately answer Google’s content questions, including target audience and advertising ID usage.
  • Target Audience: Specify the appropriate age group. If your app is not designed for children, mark it as 18+ to comply with policies.
  • App Listing: Provide all required app information such as title, description, screenshots, and promotional graphics. Focus on describing the usefulness of your app rather than promotional content.
  • Content Rating: Complete the content rating questionnaire honestly to avoid app suspension.
  • Pricing & Distribution: Set your app’s price (free or paid) and select the countries where you want your app to be available.

3. Close Testing Requirement for New Personal Accounts

If your Google Play Developer account was created after November 2023 and is a personal account, you must conduct a closed testing phase with at least 20 testers for 14 days before publishing to production. Business or organization accounts are exempt from this requirement.

To manage closed testing:

  • Navigate to the Testing section in Google Play Console.
  • Add testers by their email addresses and select target countries.
  • Submit the app for review and wait for approval.
  • Once approved, request to move the app to production.

4. Submit Your App for Review

After completing all required sections and passing testing (if applicable), submit your app for Google’s review. The review process can take a few days. Monitor the status in your Google Play Console dashboard.
