What this setting changes
When a user taps a text field inside the Android app, the on-screen keyboard can either lift and resize the visible app area or open while keeping the layout in place.
When to enable screen lift
Enable Lift Screen When Keyboard Opens when the keyboard covers important fields, the submit button, or validation messages. This is usually helpful for long login, checkout, booking, and contact forms.
When to keep the screen in place
Keep the default setting when the website already handles mobile keyboard spacing correctly or when resizing causes fixed headers, menus, or web layouts to jump.
How to configure it
- Open the app dashboard.
- Go to Premium configurations and open Advanced Settings.
- Find Lift Screen When Keyboard Opens?
- Select Yes to lift the screen or No to keep the default behavior, then save.
Important compatibility note
This is a native Android capability. Apps built before the setting was added need a new Android build before they can respond to it. If the server value is missing or invalid, the app uses the safe default and continues to open normally.
How to test
Build a new APK, open every form used by customers, tap fields near the bottom of the page, switch between fields, submit the form, and confirm that the navigation and page layout return to normal when the keyboard closes.
